In the heart of The Queen City, adjacent to the Contemporary Arts Center and across the street from the Aronoff Center for the Arts, architecture and interiors firm Deborah Berke Partners reimagined the 100-year old Metropole Hotel as the 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati. The onsite contemporary art museum is marked by Astrid Krogh’s colorful Lightmail exhibition in the nine-story interior solarium and hosts rotating curated shows. The 156 rooms are outfitted with glass enclosed showers and works by Laura Lee Brown, who founded the brand with husband and collector Steve Wilson. At the Metropole restaurant, Executive Chef Jared Bennett cooks sustainably sourced ingredients in a custom-built wood-burning fireplace.

A partnership with the Contemporary Arts Center generates co-curated shows and the CAC even trains its docents to lead tours of the hotel’s exhibitions.
