Only a short walk from the Moshe Sadie-designed Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, guests of 21c Museum Hotel Bentonville are greeted by artist Alexandre Arrechea’s sculpture Orange Tree and a Fleetwood Cadillac limousine, Making Change, created by artist Monica Mahoney. Inside, architect Deborah Berke’s design strategy created an active experience at street level, employing a variety of architectural devices to introduce natural light throughout the more than 12,000 sf of exhibition and event space. The 104 guest rooms have a more private and residential feel, showcasing custom furniture and Malin + Goetz bath amenities. Beyond the museum’s contemporary art galleries is The Hive, Arkansas native and executive chef Matthew McClure’s tribute to the high south, which serves fresh takes on classic country cuisine.
