The Miami outpost of upscale eyewear brand Oliver Peoples is made for more than one type of lens. “It’s definitely very ‘Generation Instagram,’” says creative director Giampiero Tagliaferri of a zany wall inspired by safety deposit boxes, the backdrop for retro frames fit for a modern-day Atticus Finch. Designed by Milanese interiors firm Dimore Studio, whose roster includes collaborations with Bottega Veneta and Hermès, among others, the Design District space features a South Beach palette of aqua blues and facade striped with flamingo pink—a sweeping departure from the midcentury patina (walnut walls, brass flourishes) the West Hollywood company is known for. “It’s a reinterpretation of art deco,” Tagliaferri says, “without copy and pasting.” Another twist? Two special-edition versions of classic models were created in tandem with Dimore co-founders Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci: the espresso-hued Scheyer and the gold-metal Rockmore with green lenses.
