Baxter, a robot capable of reading brain signals, has been developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Baxter reads signals captured by electroencephalography (EEG) machines, and is able to use the data to correct his course of actions.

Slight at the Museum
In an attempt to persuade the institution to drop the sponsorship of an oil company, activists protested at Paris’s Louvre Museum on Sunday. “It took six years and 16 performances of art-activism to end the partnership between London’s Tate Gallery and BP. If we have to come to the Louvre for six years, we will,” said Nicolas Haeringer, head of campaign of 350.org France.

Picked for the Palace
Jenny Holzer will be the first female artist to create an installation for the U.K.’s Blenheim Palace. “The work always engages with the present moment, yet has a proverbial timelessness about it. I am confident that Jenny will rise to the challenge of showing at Blenheim which—let’s face it—is not your typical white cube,” said Michael Frahm, director of the Blenheim Art Foundation.

WPA Artists Remembered
The U.S. Postal Service is issuing a booklet of stamps that celebrate the posters designed as a part of the Poster Division of the WPA Federal Art Project. The 20 images on the stamps come from the Library of Congress’s collection.
